Business cooperation between the United States and the Russian Federation improves despite the sanctions imposed by Washington against Moscow. This was stated on Monday by US Ambassador to Moscow John Huntsman.
“Despite the generally accepted view, sanctions do not affect business cooperation as a whole, on the contrary – business is evolving”, said he. “The sanctions related to the events of the past few years are targeted at specific people or sectors of the economy”, added he
As an example of a successful US investment in Russia, John Huntsman pointed to the US aircraft company Boeing in the Sverdlovsk region.
“Their work is going very well”, added he.
The US ambassador also called on Moscow and Washington to “work together to create an atmosphere of trust that would allow for increased investment and commodity turnover”.
