Gazprom has reached a new record on natural gas supplies to Europe. For three consecutive days – November 27, 28 and 29, the gas giant has exported record quantities of 622 million cubic meters, 625 million cubic meters and 626 million cubic meters per day.
The previous record was set in the first month of 2017. Then the cold weather increased demand, so on January 27, supplies reached a volume of 636.4 million cubic meters per day.
A few days ago, at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller commented that in 2017 he expects a record of exports to Europe. In 2016, the company sold 179.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas to its European customers.
In the first nine months of 2017 the average gas price for Europe was 190 USD per 1000 cubic meters. By the end of the year, the price will rise to 200 USD, Gazprom predicts.
